We are looking for individuals to work in an expanding boat manufacturing business based in Portsmouth. Most work will be carried out around the South Coast up to Poole, using work vans provided. Several positions available for experienced laminators, boatbuilding in GRP using wet layup construction, boat and structure finishing and mould making.
Labourer
We are looking for Security Cleared Labourers to start ASAP in Portsmouth Dockyard. The work will last for three months. Your responsibilities will include assisting on buildings within the yard; lifting and shifting, ripping out items and generally helping the trades on site; and general tidying up and getting stuck in.
Skilled Labourer
Are you a Skilled Labourer? We could have a position for you, working within a well-established Marine Engineering & Fabrication company. Pay: £22 per hour
Hours: Monday- Friday 6am – 6pm / Saturday 6am – 3pm / 7 days a week overtime available
Storekeeper
Would you fit the role of a Storekeeper to work within a well-established Marine Engineering & Fabrication company on a permanent basis? Your roles and responsibilities will include hiring and off hiring equipment; booking vehicles in and out on daily business, as well as ensuring their upkeep; ensuring that all certificates are maintained yearly on all company equipment; and purchasing and actively seeking cost reduction on consumable and parts.
Pay: £25,000 per annum
Hours: 37.5 hours a week + overtime available
Welder-Fabricators
We are looking for 6 Welder Fabricators to join a contract aboard a Cruise Ship which will be docked in Tilbury. This is ideal for anyone looking for work with accommodation included. You will be able to stay onboard the ship while working for this client. You will experience varied work with different tasks assigned daily.
Electrical Engineer
We are working with a Marine Engineering company based in Portsmouth with sites in many UK Dockyards to find two experienced electrical technicians/engineers to join their expanding business. In this role, you will mainly be working locally in Portsmouth, as well as on sites nationwide as required. You will find yourself leading or working within a team involved in all aspects of civil and marine electrical installation, overhaul and repair of electrical equipment and systems. The client has requested that applicants are qualified to building, MoD or marine industry standards.
Plater Dredger Refit
If you’re looking for a short-term project, we are looking for Platers for a Marine project (Dredger refit) in Southampton. While security clearance would be an advantage, it is not essential. The project will last for roughly three weeks.
Industrial Painters and Blasters
We are currently searching for experienced Industrial Painters and Blasters, required for a Marine project in Cammell Laird Dockyard, Birkenhead. Your main role will require Mech Prep, Brush, Spraying and Blasting. The position will be located in an extremely busy shipyard, alongside many other trades. There are multiple vessels to work on. Shifts up to 10 hours will be available.
Pay: £16.50 per hour
Industrial Cleaner
We are looking for 10 cleaners to work on Cammell Laird Shipyard. The role will include general cleaning of offices, mess areas and public areas within the shipyard. The position will require commitment to working 5 days a week, with overtime available.
Pay: £11.25 per hour on a self employed basis.
