Seawork is Europe’s largest commercial marine and workboat exhibition, and it was held at the Mayflower Park in Southampton from 15-17th of June this year. The three-day event saw many visitors, including our team from SLR Marine Recruitment.

As the leading marine recruitment agency in the UK, we were keen to see what new innovations and technologies were on display at Seawork this year. We met with several companies and suppliers who were showcasing their latest products and services, and it was great to get an insight into the latest developments in the industry.

Seaeye Marine

One of the highlights for us was Seaeye Marine, who are one of the world’s leading manufacturers of remotely operated vehicles (ROVs). We got to see their latest ROV in action, and it was impressive! We also had a chance to speak to their team about the current trends in ROV technology and how they are being used more and more in commercial applications.

Kongsberg Maritime

Another highlight was meeting with Kongsberg Maritime, who is a leading supplier of maritime technology and services. We were really interested in their new digital solutions for the marine industry, which are designed to help vessels operate more efficiently and safely. It was great to learn how these technologies are being used by ship operators around the world and how they are making a difference in the way vessels are operated. Overall, we had a great time at Seawork, and it was interesting to see all the latest innovations in the marine industry.

Importance of Building Relationships

At SLR Marine Recruitment, we understand the importance of building relationships with clients and suppliers in the marine industry. That’s why events like Seawork are so important for us, as they provide a great opportunity to meet new people and catch up with existing contacts. Building relationships is what makes us the leading marine recruitment agency in the UK, so we’re always keen to meet others in the sector. It helps us to better service not only our clients but also recruits from the armed forces, who are transitioning into the trades of engineering, mechanics, ship refit, project management and other areas of the maritime industry.

Showing up for Local Events in the Marine Sector

As a leading marine recruitment agency, we’re always keen to support local events in the sector. Seawork is a great example of an event that is important for the maritime industry, and we’re proud to be able to show our support for it. We’re looking forward to next year’s event already when we plan to exhibit ourselves.

Value of In-person Networking

In an increasingly digital world, it’s easy to forget the value of face-to-face networking. Events like Seawork are a great opportunity to meet new people and build relationships in the marine industry. We’re always keen to learn about new developments in the industry and to keep up to date with the latest technologies and innovations. Seawork is a great platform for us to showcase our company and what we can offer those working within the maritime sector.
